Water Security Agency Aquatic Habitat Presentation – Wakaw Legion Hall – June 26th

The R.M. of Hoodoo No. 401, in partnership with the Property Owners of Wakaw Lake (POWL), is hosting a presentation by the Water Security Agency on aquatic habitat protection.

This session will be especially valuable for anyone considering work in or around Wakaw Lake, including the bed, bank, or boundary area.

Presentation details:

  • Date: Friday, June 26
  • Time: 2:30 p.m.
  • Location: Wakaw Legion Hall

Topics will include:

  • Environmental Protection Plan (EPP) requirements
  • Permit application and review process
  • Shoreline development and dedicated lands

This is a great opportunity to better understand the regulations that apply to shoreline work and how to plan projects in compliance with provincial requirements. RM staff will also be in attendance.

Additional information on aquatic habitat protection can be found here: https://wsask.ca/recreation-environment/aquatic-habitat-protection/

We encourage all lakefront property owners and interested residents to attend.

Please see the attached poster for full details. If you have any questions, contact the RM office at 306-256-3281.
