Spring Moisture & Flooding Supports – Information for Producers

SCIC has provided information on supports available to producers affected by excess moisture and flooding this spring. SCIC has several programs in place that may assist with challenges related to delayed seeding, unseeded acreage, crop damage, and overall production impacts. These include:

  • Coverage for unseeded acreage due to wet conditions
  • Establishment benefits for crops that fail or are damaged early in the season
  • AgriStability support to help offset broader financial impacts
  • Access to Ministry of Agriculture resources for feed, water, and pasture management
  • Farm stress supports for producers and their families

Please see the attached flysheet for details and important deadlines.

Producers are strongly encouraged to take advantage of on‑farm visits with an SCIC Program Advisor to review their individual situation and available options – visit the link below:

We hope this information is helpful during what is a challenging start to the growing season.
