Emily Quinney-Mockford

Division 6 By-Election Candidate

Emily Quinney-Mockford of First Point Beach, Wakaw Lake is excited to be a candidate in the upcoming bi-election for Division 6 of the RM of Hoodoo.

Emily 40, with her husband Shelby and 3 children, moved to their home at First Point Beach in November of 2021.  After a recent move to the house next door, they continue to enjoy the community of First Point Beach as well as the surrounding area.  Their children attend school, daycare, and minor sports in the Town of Wakaw.

Emily is a Chartered Professional Accountant and is currently CFO of CandorBuild Construction Corp. as well as Owner of Quinney Business Services.  Her technical skill set revolves around accounting, finance, and human resources.

Growing up on the farm south of Rosetown has given Emily an appreciation for small community living, and the importance of getting involved.  This led to her participating on her Condo Board while she was living in Saskatoon, participate on her daughter’s pre-school Co-op board while she was attending, Co-act as an interim Executive Director at Family Service Saskatoon until they found their permanent candidate, and most recently volunteer for the Wakaw Minor Hockey Association in Treasury.

Emily’s technical skillset combined with her background and experience would make her an ideal candidate for RM Councilor of Division 6.  She can work efficiently, communicate effectively, and is passionate about adding value to her community and its residents.  She would like to thank you for your consideration and encourage you to come out to vote.
