Candidate bio – submitted by candidate:

My name is Dallas Bauman, I was raised in Cudworth as was my wife, Anna-Marie. We came back to the area to raise our three boys, knowing the importance of rural living and community connections. We own an acreage along Highway #2 and a cabin on West Osze Beach. This enables us to both work and play in the area we call home. When not at work I can be found tinkering in my garage, on fishing trips, wood working, teaching my boys new skills and spending time with friends and family.

I hold dual red seal certificates in truck and transport and heavy-duty mechanics and own Doc’s Truck & Ag Repair located at Leofnard, operating since December 2009. Being a business owner, I understand the importance of communication and being open minded. With strong ties to the apprenticeship, transport and agriculture industries, the knowledge of laws and regulations and having to work within these confines is skill I am proficient in and will be an asset to the position of councillor.

Working in the service industry for the last 25 yrs I have gained valuable knowledge and experience in public relations, problem solving, education, strategic planning, and conflict resolution. I enjoy the thrill of a challenge, finding ways to reach and rise above it using available resources. Working with the public provides me with the opportunity to learn about concerns and solutions they have encountered, providing me with a bigger picture of current successes and challenges that exist in the area.

I am practical, approachable and feel I have a strong voice and commitment to the area. Running a business and owning recreational property within the municipality, I have a vested interest in ensuring that our Rural Municipality thrives and meets the needs of the people of the area and am willing to represent the people of Division 6.
